Developer Plans 15 Luxury Condos for Bronzeville

Fifteen luxury condos are planned for Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood, according to the developer.

The developer of The Collection on the Drive, Edward "Eddie" McBrearty, said he'll initially construct the first phase of the row homes in the 3850 block of South Calumet Avenue, with completion expected later this month.

Additional homes will be built on Pershing Road in the second phase of development, and the third phase will see homes constructed on King Drive.

The new row houses are multicolored brick, not red, and have a simple at cornice along
the roof line, a direct echo of the older ones, which on this block mostly date to the 1880s
and 1890s.
